Swansea skipper Ashley Williams could be on his way to the Emirates this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The centre back has been a stalwart of the Swans backline since they earned promotion to the Premier League in 2011.
But the 29-year-old is apparently now eager for a new challenge, with the Gunners keen on a move.
With just over a year remaining on his deal on his current deal Williams' bargaining position is
strong, and could choose Arsenal after missing out on a switch last summer.
Jamie Carragher had to go up against the great Arsenal teams during his playing career.
But he says if Wenger can't change the Gunners' current fortunes, then they should change him.
"Watching Manchester City demolish Manchester United in midweek, with Yaya Toure and Kompany so dominant, was like watching Arsenal 10 years ago," he writes in the Daily Mail.
"Wenger needs to go back to that to improve Arsenal’s future."
A young striker known as the "Iranian Messi" could be the next Gunners star.
The club have made an offer for Rubin Kazan man Sardar Azmoun, according to the Metro .
Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also on the 19-year-old's case, but Wenger is the first to firm up his interest with a bid.
£2million could do it for a player scouted extensively while on international duty for his country's Under-20 team.
Brazilian midfielder Jorginho only moved to Napoli on a dual-ownership deal from Verona in January, but could be on the move again this summer.
The 22-year-old attracted interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea before choosing Naples, but the Gunners could have stolen a march on their rivals to snap him up at the end of the season.
